What happens if I make monthly extra payments?

If you want to pay a bit more each month (a regular overpayment), you can either:

• talk to Key Solutions Mortgages first and we will dicuss shortening your mortgage term so your monthly mortgage payments are higher.
• pay the extra every month and the automatic result will be to reduce your future monthly payments.

So, the important thing to remember is that if you make an overpayment and you want to achieve a particular result, please talk to Key Solutions Mortgages so that we can explain what will happen and, where possible, give you the result you want.

Whatever the size and frequency of your extra payments, and whether it’s the mortgage term or your monthly payments that reduce, you will end up paying less interest overall. It is important to remember that any extra payments cannot normally be refunded at a later date.
